Endowments

Newman Center Endowments

An endowment is a donation of money or property to a nonprofit organization, which uses the resulting investment income for a specific purpose. Endowments are designed to keep the principal amount intact while using the investment income for charitable efforts.

We are grateful for the leadership, foresight and generosity of those who established the following endowments at the Newman Center. To endow a named fund at Newman Center requires a minimum gift investment of $50,000. Annual investment income payouts range from 4-5%. The investment funds generated by these endowments will be realized into perpetuity.

Outreach and Education Fund
This fund supports a full time staff position dedicated to outreach and faith formation efforts.

                                         Fellowships
This endowed fund allows for respective $2,500 stipends to be given annually to fellows in various ministry areas.

Helen and Nicholas Rossi Center for Faith and Culture
The Rossi Center Endowment funds two national or regional speakers annually on cultural topics that impact our students.

Louise Wolf-Novak Service and Social Justice
Investment proceeds from this fund pay the $2,500 annual stipend for a Service and Social Justice Fellow.
Any additional funds are used for programming and educational speakers.

                           Fr. Ed Fitzpatrick Discipleship Fund
Funds 10-12 $500 scholarships annually in recognition of Newman alumni who are active disciples in a non-profit or parish.
The financial awards are directed to the non-profit in the name of the recipient.

                 Pieroni Fund for Communication Fellows
This fund provides for the $2,500 annual stipend for the Communications Fellow.
