WELCOME TO THE NEWMAN CATHOLIC STUDENT CENTER
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA!
The Newman Catholic Student Center is a Roman Catholic ministry to those associated with The University of Iowa to promote their development within a faith community and to prepare them as disciples for the Church and for the world.
Summer Mass and Reconciliation Schedule
Mass Schedule:
Monday-Friday: 5:15 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM
Sacrament of Reconciliation Schedule:
4-5 PM Wednesdays
*Schedule will run from May 16-August 12
Daily and Sunday Mass are available on our Iowa Catholic YouTube Channel.
SUMMER VISITORS AND INCOMING STUDENTS
Will you be in Iowa City for a college visit, summer orientation, or moving to the area to attend or work at the University of Iowa this summer? We would be happy to have you visit the Newman Center to get to know you, give you a tour, and talk to you about what we offer as a community. Feel free to drop in during our regular hours for a visit, prayer, or to attend Mass.

2022-2023 Newman Center Registration
Please register for the 2022-2023 academic year if you are a new or existing member of the Newman Catholic Student Center.
Each person is asked to register each academic year of participation.

Development Assistant needed
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a key part of the Development team, the Development Assistant works in tandem with the Director of Development to advance the Newman Catholic Student Center mission by ensuring sustainable funding to support the organization’s mission and ministries through donor retention, growth of the donor base and fundraising events. A dedication to promoting the Newman Center and our mission to prepare disciples for the Church and the world is essential. This person aids in fundraising activities which are based upon thorough knowledge of the functions, procedures and standards of the Newman Catholic Student Center. The Development Assistant is confident, assured, has a positive attitude, works at a high level of quality, effectively multi tasks, embraces change, and constantly looks for ways to improve processes and build intentional relationships with all stakeholders (donors, students, staff, and community members). This position reports to the Director of Development and works collaboratively and strategically with other staff.
